چکیده
Clavicle fracture is the most frequent trauma of scapular girdle, and involves midshaft in 4 out 5 cases. Non-displaced clavicle fractures whatever location are usually managed non-operatively. Rare open or associated with neurovascular complications surgically. High-energy (floating shoulder, shoulder impaction, multiple trauma) may be surgically, on a case-by-case basis [1, 2]. This was prospective study where 50 patients attending Outpatient, casualty admitted from January to December 2018 were studied. Totally underwent reduction plate fixation followed up for period 6 months date admission analyzed both clinically using Constant Murley scoring system radiologically serial radiographs. more common right side; about 60% 40% had left side. The majority due road traffic accidents which constituted 80%, while fall rest 20%. Of fractures, 40 cases this simple comminuted segmental fracture. All regular X rays taken. Union defined as complete cortical bridging between distal proximal fragments. achieved union determined by surgeon after radiographic evaluation. displaced united 9 weeks butterfly fragment required 13 15 weeks. There no instances nonunion.

Who should be treated surgically for a displaced clavicle fracture?
Treatment of displaced midshaft clavicle fractures remains controversial despite several randomized trials and a recent meta-analysis (McKee et al. 2012, Lenza et al. 2013, Rehn et al. 2014, Wang et al. 2015). In the current issue of Acta Orthopaedica, Ban et al. present results of a survey among Scandinavian orthopedic surgeons on attitudes to treatment of displaced clavicle fractures. The res...
متن کاملThe functional outcome of surgically treated unstable pelvic ring fractures by open reduction, internal fixation
Abstract Background: Unstable Pelvic fracture, a result of high energy antero-posterior compression injury, has been managed based on internal fixation and open reduction. The mode of fixation in Unstable Pelvic fracture has, however, been a subject of controversy and some authors have proposed a need to address the issue of partial breach of the pelvic ring elements in these injuries. This st...
متن کاملOvertreatment of displaced midshaft clavicle fractures
Background and purpose - The best treatment for displaced clavicle fractures has been debated for decades. Operative treatment has become more common. However, several randomized trials comparing non-operative and operative treatment have not shown any compelling evidence in favor of surgery. We identified the preferred treatment of displaced midshaft clavicle fractures at public hospitals in 3...
متن کاملOutcome of distal end clavicle fractures treated with locking plates
PURPOSE Fractures of the lateral end of the clavicle are relatively uncommon. These fractures are unstable due to the various deforming forces which act on the fragments as well as the small distal fracture fragment. At most times the deforming forces are not taken into consideration, and the fracture is not fixed securely. In this study, we assessed a fixation technique using the precontoured ...
متن کاملFunctional outcome in conservatively treated non-displaced scaphoid fractures
Purpose: This study evaluated the functional outcome after conservative treatment of non-displaced scaphoid fractures using an international validated outcome scale (DASH). Methods and materials: Between 2005 and 2010, 60 patients with a non-displaced scaphoid fracture were included. When a patient visited the emergency department and was clinically suspected of a scaphoid fracture radiography ...
